With their season never getting a chance to get underway, Lyon County High School will take an opportunity Friday evening to recognize their senior spring athletes. Officials at the school have announced there will be a “Senior Night Lights” to honor seniors from the Lyons’ baseball, softball, and tennis programs.
The “Senior Night Lights” will get started Friday evening at 7:00pm. The parade of vehicles will gather at the mall parking lot, behind the car wash. Vehicles will then leave the mall and drive to Lee S. Jones Park. At the park, vehicles will pass around the baseball field and the softball field, where the senior athletes will be positioned.
Those participating in the parade are encouraged to make signs to hang out of their vehicles, honk, cheer, and make noise to show support and appreciation for the four seniors.
Officials note that there will be no gathering at the park, and those participating must remain in their vehicles until they exit Lee S. Jones Park.
The “Senior Night Lights” will take place following Friday’s Senior Day parade.
