The Caldwell County Tiger basketball team is closing in on a milestone mark.

The Tigers should hit 800 wins all-time in the 2020-2021 season.

Since consolidation in 1954, the Caldwell County boys’ basketball program has 795 wins.

The Tigers have had a .500 record or better each of the last four seasons and six of the last seven.

However, that has not always been the case. Caldwell’s all-time record in boys’ basketball shows the 795 wins, but also 927 losses.

The Tigers have won 13 district championships and one 2nd Region title in 1964.

Meanwhile, Caldwell’s girls do have a winning all-time record, going 720-540 since girls’ basketball was reinstated in 1974.

The Lady Tigers picked up their 700th win on Jan. 26, 2019 at Crittenden County.

The Lady Tigers have won 22 district championships, including 15 straight from 1991-2005 in the 5th District.

Caldwell’s girls won three regional championships — 1976, 1992 and 1993.
