Caldwell County softball senior Madi Choate was very appreciative of Saturday’s “Light the Night” event, which included a parade of over 40 vehicles that started at the CAB parking lot in Princeton, toured the tennis and track facilities, then made its way across town to the baseball and softball fields.
The event was a way for the school and community to honor Caldwell’s spring sports athletes, especially the seniors.
Despite losing her senior season at Caldwell, Choate has more softball to play. She has signed to play college softball at Asbury University in Wilmore, Ky., where she will join former Lady Tiger standout Katie Franklin with the Eagles.
YSE spoke with Choate following Saturday’s recognition activities.
