Former Union County basketball standout Kale Gaither is now at Madisonville-North Hopkins.
Gaither confirmed to YourSportsEdge.com Thursday morning that he is now in Madisonville and appears set to join the Maroons’ basketball program.
Gaither, a rising senior guard, was leading Union in scoring at 22.6 points a game last season, but played only 11 games before leaving the program in late December.
Two years ago, Gaither scored 22.9 points game while helping the Braves compile a 19-9 record while winning the 6th District championship.
Meanwhile, Gaither would join a Madisonville team that went 31-3 this past season and won its second-straight 2nd Region championship. However, the Maroons were unable to play in the state tournament when they event was wiped out by the coronavirus.
All five Madisonville starters this past season were seniors.
