As a freshman, St. Mary’s Ellie Roof finished eighth at the region golf tournament and missed the cut at the state tourney. She’s already busy on the course working toward a 2020 goal of a high region finish and making the cut at state. Roof finished tied for second at the weekend’s Bluegrass Golf Tour stop at Drake Creek.
