Christian County Middle Schooler Landon Hunt won his age group of the Bluegrass Golf Tour at the Bowling Green Country Club Tuesday.
Hunt shot a 7-over par 43 over nine holes, defeating Paxton Carter of Grand Rivers by two shots to win the 11-12 year-old division. His round included a birdie on the par-3 11th hole and an eagle on the par-5 18th hole. Hunt’s chip in from 30 yards out secured him the win over Carter, who had already finished with a round of 45.
Hunt finished Saturday’s Bluegrass Tour event at Drake Creek Golf Club in fourth place.
