Hopkinsville High junior Evan Pyle opened his summer youth golf play with a third place finish Tuesday at the Bluegrass Golf Tour stop at the Oxmoor Country Club in Louisville.
Pyle started the day strong with birdies on his first two holes and was 2-under after four holes. He finished the front nine with a 3-over 39. Pyle added his third birdie of the day on the back nine and finished his round with a 10-over 82. Louisville’s Andrew Bennett shot a 1-over 73 to win the age division.
