Hopkinsville High has announced five winners of the KHSAA Triple Threat Award that recognizes athletes who play three or more sports during the school year.
Hoptown’s winners were:
Chase Atkins – Cross Country, Swimming, Track and Field
Jonathan Quincey – Cross Country, Wrestling, Track and Field
Keane Mumford – Football, Wrestling, Track and Field
Zachary Gugle – Cross Country, Swimming, Track and Field
Jessie Creamer – Cross Country, Basketball, Track and Field
The program was launched in May of 2018 in an effort to de-emphasize sports specialization in the athletic culture, according to the KHSAA.
