With the spring sports season in the books prematurely, YourSportsEdge.com has reached out to coaches, and they have provided us with information and comments on their seniors. We will be recognizing the Class of 2020 for the remainder of what would have been the spring sports season.
Meghan Adams is a member of the University Heights Academy track and field team.
Adams secured a win at the KTCCCA Indoor State Meet placing first in the shot put with a throw of 31-00.5 and a second place medal in the 1600-meter relay.
“This was looking to be a promising season as the two volleyball stars — Adams and Lily Hendricks — turned the curve from basketball onto the track. This would be Adams’ third season of track,” said Coach Faye Hendricks. “Last year for the Blazers, she advanced to state in shot put (14th place), the 400-meter dash (13th place), the 800-meter relay (5th place) and the 1600-meter relay team (7th place).”
“The group of senior girls and underclassmen that we had returning in 2020 would have been phenomenal. This could have been one our highest scoring girls squads we have had especially in the relays and sprints at Region.”
