University Heights Academy Has 13 Triple-Threat Recipients

University Heights Academy has announced 13 winners of the KHSAA Triple Threat Award that recognizes athletes who play three or more sports during the school year in the spring, winter, and fall.

UHA’s winners were:

Lily Hendricks – Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Field
Kate Cansler – Soccer, Cheerleading, Track and Field
Sarah Covington – Soccer, Cheerleading, Track and Field
Allison Bullen – Volleyball, Cheerleading, Track and Field
Jaila Batey – Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Field, Softball
K.J. Crump – Cross Country, Basketball, Track and Field
Piper Hancock – Soccer, Cheerleading, Track and Field
Trinity Luke – Soccer, Basketball, Softball
Tomas Duncan – Cross Country, Basketball, Track and Field
Meghan Adams – Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Field
Nic Luckey – Soccer, Basketball, Baseball
Julia Thomas – Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Field
Clarissa Miller – Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Field

 

The triple threat program was launched in May of 2018 in an effort to de-emphasize sports specialization in the athletic culture, according to the KHSAA.
