The Austin Peay football program, which has been listed in the FCS Top 25 in most preseason polls, got a boost from the Big 10 Tuesday evening. Just 8 days after he announced he was leaving Penn State, defensive tackle and former four-star recruit Damion Barber has announced he is now going to Austin Peay to finish out his final two years of eligibility.

Barber made the announcement via twitter Tuesday evening.

Barber played little as a sophomore in 2019, appearing in eight games. He recorded three tackles after appearing in three games as a redshirt freshman in 2018.
