UPDATE: A statement from Lynn Bowden’s management group said a home belonging to a family member of Lynn Bowden was searched by the DEA Wednesday. They said Lynn and his young son were guests at the home. WKBN-TV reported a number of loaded handguns and assault rifles were seized at the scene.
ORIGINAL STORY: No arrests are reported after an early morning search Wednesday at a Youngstown, Ohio residence, where former UK football star Lynn Bowden was reportedly staying. According to a report from WKBN-TV, members of the Drug Enforcement Agency and U.S. Marshals executed the search of the home just before 8:00am.
The report goes on to say that Bowden was placed in handcuffs at the scene, while authorities seized a number of loaded handguns and assault rifles from the residence.
Reports indicate that while Bowden grew up at the residence, and was at the home at the time of the search, the home is owned by his grandmother. The report from WKBN says Bowden was staying with relatives at the residence at the time of the search.
Bowden, who was a 1st Team All American at UK, was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2020 NFL Draft.
