Skylar Waller shot her career-best score of 80 at Tuesday’s Bluegrass Tour stop at the Benton Country Club. If not for a snowman, she would have taken that new low score into the 70s.
The Calloway County eighth grader had three birdies on a windy afternoon and an eagle-3 on the par-5 second hole to shoot 3-over on the front nine. Her game was more consistent on the back nine despite a quadruple bogey on the 14th hole. Waller won the 14 and under group by 14 shots in shooting a new career best.
