University Heights Academy eighth grader Conlee Lindsey made her summer golfing debut Wednesday with a fifth place finish at the Bluegrass Golf Tour’s stop at the Paxton Park Golf Course in Paducah.
Lindsey shot a 93 for her round in the 12-14 age division that was nine shots behind the winner, Calloway County’s Skylar Waller. Her front nine score of 48 included a birdie and six bogeys. She had three pars on the back nine as she came in with a score of 45.
Lindsey finished 22nd in the region in her first season of varsity competition and is looking to use the summer to make a run at qualifying for the state tournament this fall.
