2020 would have been the 10th season of the Ohio Valley League and the ninth season for the Hoptown Hoppers. Both are expected to return strong in 2021 after COVID-19 caused the cancellation of the 2020 season.
YourSportsEdge.com has dug into the archives to present the Hoptown Hoppers All-Decade Team for 2012-19.
Drew McGowan was a Swiss army knife for the Hoppers in 2019. He played several different positions in the field and was 3-1 on the mound with 18 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched.
At the plate, McGowan hit .330 with 29 singles and 32 runs scored. Both are the 11th most in a season in Hopper history, and his 19 stolen bases are the second-most by a Hopper.
McGowan, who attended high school at University Heights Academy, saw action in eight games at Mississippi State in his freshman season, starting four.
