Lyon County’s Brody Williams drove in the winning run, while Hopkinsville’s Jacob Dilday pitched two shutout innnings in relief to close out a 4-3 win for the 16u Kentucky Prospects over the MS Rangers Hall 16U Friday night in Memphis. The win was the second straight for the Shivers in the event.

The game was tied 3-3 going into the top of the 5th when Williams grounded in to a fielder’s choice to score the go ahead run. Dilday then took to the mound for the 5th and 6th innings to close out the win for the Prospects, who are undefeated on the summer.

Williams finished 1-3 with a double and two RBIs. Lyon County teammate Jackson Shoulders was 0-1, but scored two of the Shivers four runs after receiving two walks in the contest.

Dilday went the final two innnigs of the game on the mound, giving up no runs, on one hit, and striking out three.
