Shelton Cansler was a member of the Caldwell County tennis team.
“Shelton was the only male senior we had,” said Caldwell County Coach Steve Kukahiko. “He was going to be our No. 1 player this year. He had been playing the last five years. He was very competitive and got frustrated sometimes with some of his shots, but he found ways to work through it. He qualified for state last year in doubles, and hopefully would have been returning again this year.”
