James Folz tied for fifth place over the weekend at the Tennessee Junior Open that was played at the Champions Run Golf Club near Murfreesboro.
The Hopkinsville High senior had a birdie and six bogeys in shooting a 5-over 77 in Saturday’s first round. He shot a 9-over 81 in the second round to finish five shots behind the winner, Gehrig Sexton of Monticello.
The Tennessee Junior Open is part of the Hurricane Junior Golf Club. It was the fourth Hurricane Tour event Folz has played in 2020 with the weekend finish his best.
