Marshall County High School has turned to one of its own to be the next head coach of the boys’ soccer team. Officials announced Tuesday afternoon that Bryan Blevins, a long time assistant at the school, had been selected to be the next coach.
In addition to his tenure as an assistant coach, Blevins was also a part of a couple of the most successful teams in school history. He was on the 2000 team that reached the state semifinals and the 2002 team that made it all the way to the state championship game.
Blevins replaces Donald Heath, who left after four seasons on the job after the 2019 season.
An official welcoming event for Blevins is set for Friday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 at the school’s soccer field.
