The Caldwell County Tiger football team was back on the field this past week, at least for conditioning drills.
The high school squad worked out Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with Tiger head coach Will Barnes at the helm.
While conditioning has begun, there’s no guarantee when the Tigers and other teams will be allowed to have 7-on-7 summer games or even scrimmages and regular season games this fall.
If the 2020 high school football season were allowed to kick off on time and as scheduled, Caldwell has scrimmages set for Aug. 7 and Aug. 14. The first scrimmage is at home against Madisonville-North Hopkins while the second preseason tilt is at Owensboro Catholic.
The regular season is scheduled to kick off for Caldwell County on Aug. 21 at Christian County.
