
Webster County had eight athletes named KHSAA Triple Threat Award winners, which recognizes athletes who play three or more sports during the school year in the spring, winter, and fall seasons.
The Webster County Triple Threat Athletes were:
Natalie Austin – Golf, Cheerleading, Tennis
Marissa Austin – Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, Softball
Mariah Austin – Soccer, Basketball, Tennis
Hayden Nunn – Football, Basketball, Baseball
Sydney Shoulders – Volleyball, Basketball, Softball
Brooke Shepherd – Soccer, Basketball, Track and Field
Paige Shepherd – Soccer, Basketball, Track and Field
Trevor Baker – Cross Country, Basketball, Track and Field
The triple threat program was launched in May of 2018 in an effort to de-emphasize sports specialization in the athletic culture, according to the KHSAA.
