Caldwell County rising senior Tate VanHooser is scheduled to play Tuesday, June 30, in the Kentucky Top Prospect Games in Bowling Green.
Bowling Green Ballpark, home of the Tampa Bay Rays Single-A affiliate Bowling Green Hot Rods, will host the competition. This event will feature the top uncommitted Class of 2021, 2022 and very select 2023 prospects in the state. Last year’s Top Prospect Games Event saw over 130 players with numerous college coaches and pro scouts in attendance.
The Kentucky Top Prospect Games is by invitation only.
VanHooser slammed 10 home runs in 2019 for a Caldwell County team which reached the championship game of the 2nd Region tournament.
The high school season this spring was wiped out by the coronavirus.
