Consistency was the order of the day for University Heights Academy grad Weston Wood. Wood shot an even par 35 on the front nine and then an even par 36 on the back nine to take a four shot win Wednesday at the Bluegrass Golf Tour Boys 15-18 event at the Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club.
Wood’s round of even par 71 put him four shots ahead of runner-up Sammy Greenwell, of Marion.
Wood had two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine, with one birdie and one bogey on the back side. He shot par on his final five holes of the tournament.
Wood’s former UHA teammate Jiles Wyatt finished in third place, six shots off the lead.
