Caldwell County’s Claire Knoth shot a 4-over-par 40 on the front nine and went on to record a third-place finish in the Bluegrass Golf Tour Junior Series event at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Golf Course in Franklin on Thursday.
Knoth finished the day with a 12-over-par round of 84, putting her in a three-way tie for third in the girls’ 15-18 age group.
Knoth was just three shots behind the winner, Katie Gray of Elizabethtown, who carded an 81.
Christian County’s Hannah Sumner was second at 82.
Jacy Stricker of Sellersburg, Ind., and Reagan Richardson of Bowling Green joined Knoth at 84.
