A spectacular performance on the mound from Lyon County’s Jackson Shoulders helped carry the Kentucky Prospects 16U team to its third straight win in the Music City Classic. Shoulders went all seven innings Friday, giving up just two hits as the Prosects took down UA Force Ohio 16U 2-0.
Shoulders gave up just two singles over the seven innings. UA Force Ohio also had runners reach on one walk and one error. However, with the defense behind Shoulders turning three double plays, he would face only one batter over the minimum for the game.
Shoulders finished the contest striking out seven.
At the plate, Lyon County’s Gunnar Bingham went 1-2, with a run scored and a walk. His Lyon County teammate Brody Williams ended up 1-3, with an RBI.
The Prospects 16U have outscored their first three opponents in Nashville 29-5.
