The Kentucky Prospects 16U used a six run 5th inning to blow open a close game and win their second straight game of the week Thursday at the Music City Classic. The Prospects 16U rolled past Adidas Athletics 12-3.
Another big day at the plate for Lyon County’s Gunnar Bingham. Bingham went 1-3, with a triple, a run scored, two RBIs, and a walk. Lyon County teammate Brody Williams was 1-2 with a double. Jackson Shoulders was 0-2, but did come up with a walk and a run scored.
Caldwell County’s Logan Smiley was 0-1, with a pair of walks and a run scored.
On the mound, Hopkinsville’s Jacob Dilday went 1 1/3-innings in relief. Dilday gave up no runs on just one hit, and had one strikeout for the game.
The Kentucky Prospects 16U have won their last two games by a total score of 27-5.
