Trigg County and Hopkinsville tied at the top of the voting in the 2020 YourSportsEdge.Com/First Financial Bank Bass Fishing “Fan Faves.”
Trigg County’s Ty Meacham was one of the two to tie for 1st place in the voting. Meacham enjoyed his first season on the Trigg County Fishing Team by teaming with Chase Oglesby to finish sixth at the KHSAA State Fishing Tournament in 2019. The duo caught 26-pounds, 15-ounces of fish on Kentucky Lake to bring home the top-10 finish. Meacham qualified for the state tournament by finishing 15th at the region tournament with 11-pounds, 4-ounces of fish.
Also at the top of the list in the voting was Hopkinsville’s Lanie Brumfield. Brumfield was the lone senior on the Hopkinsville fishing team in 2020. She was expecting a big year on the lake after finishing 63rd at the 2019 region tourney. Her best finish was fifth at the Bassin Colonels Classic on Lake Barkley.
