Trigg County and Hopkinsville took the winner and runner-up positions in this year’s YourSportsEdge.Com/First Financial Bank Boys Golf “Fan Faves.”
Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds got the most votes this year. Reynolds led the Wildcats at the Christian County Invitational in September at Western Hills Golf Course. He shot a 75, which was good enough for sixth place. Reynolds tied for 17th at the 1st Region golf tournament at Calvert City with an 82.
Hopkinsville’s James Folz had a strong finish to come in second place in the voting. Folz, a junior, was named to the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association All-Region Team. Folz shot a 6-over-par 78 at the 2nd Region golf tournament in Owensboro Oct. 1 to qualify for his first state golf tourney. At Bowling Green Country Club, he shot a 10-over and missed the cut at state by a single shot.
