Prospects 16U Go 2-3 in Pool Play at 16U National Championship

A couple of tough losses Monday and Tuesday kept the Kentucky Prospects 16U from a chance to play in the championship bracket of the prestigious 16U National Championship, in Marietta Georgia.

Monday, the Prospects were done in by a six run 4th inning, as East Coast Sox 16U rallied from an early 2-1 deficit to take a 9-5 win.

Hopkinsville’s Jacob Dilday was among the offensive leaders for the Prospects, going 1-2, with a run scored. Lyon County’s Brody Williams finished the game 1-3.

On Tuesday, the TNT Black Knights 16U hit the Prospects with a four run first inning and never looked back on their way to a 7-1 win.

Lyon County’s Jackson Shoulders was 1-3 at the plate with an RBI. Jacob Dilday also finished the game 1-3.

The Prospects finished their run through pool play with a record of 2-3.
