Three athletic teams in the Todd County School system have been placed on quarantine over the past couple of weeks due to positive cases of COVID-19. According to a Thursday report from the Todd County Standard, new Todd County Superintendent Mark Thomas confirmed the quarantine of the three teams.
Thomas said the quarantine process for the teams began after he started in his new position July 1. In the Thursday report, Thomas added that the teams either have been or are currently going through the quarantine process. The specific teams were not identified in the report.
As for sports moving forward, in the report Thomas says that if Todd County Schools goes strictly virtual in the fall, that sports would cease in the county for the fall season. Currently the district is scheduled to use both in-person and virtual learning when classes resume August 26th.
