Former Caldwell County standout Cody Holub will play college baseball at Kentucky Christian University.
Holub, who is playing this summer for Lyon County American Legion Post 68, said following that team’s Alumni Game on Friday, that he will play for the Knights.
Kentucky Christian went 6-24 in the spring of 2019. However, the Knights were 7-7 earlier this year before their season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kentucky Christian is an NAIA school in Grayson in far eastern Kentucky. The Knights compete in the Mid-South Conference.
As a junior, Holub hit .339 and drove in 33 runs for a Caldwell team that went 18-16 and reached the 2019 2nd Region championship game. Caldwell got in just one scrimmage this past season before the coronavirus stopped play.
