The University Heights Academy volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 school year.
The award honors volleyball teams at the college and high school level that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale. UHA’s team GPA for the season was over 3.9.
The award, created in 1992, is sponsored by the United States Marine Corps.
UHA joins Caldwell County (2018) and Madisonville (2016) as Second Region volleyball teams to win the AVCA Team Academic Award.
