What has become one of Princeton’s summer sports traditions will not be held this year.
Organizer Ken Parker has confirmed that the Jake Hodge Foundation Wiffle Ball Tournament will not be held this year due to uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus.
The event has been held the previous seven years at Little Busch Stadium, which is located at Parker’s home on South Jefferson Street.
For the first time last year two fields were utilized, with Little Fenway South joining Little Busch Stadium.
The wiffle ball tournament is a fundraiser for the Jake Hodge Foundation.
Over the past seven years, over $160,000 has been raised to help further the education of many high school seniors around the area through the Jake Hodge Scholarship.
Parker said plans are for an even bigger and better Jake Hodge Foundation Wiffle Ball Tournament next summer.
