
He was named interim girls’ head basketball coach at Marshall County back in January. That interim tag for Aaron Beth has now been removed.
Officials at Marshall County High School announced Wednesday morning that Beth has been hired to be the new head coach of the Lady Marshal hoops program. Beth had stepped in as interim coach in January after former coach Dan Langhi stepped down at the beginning of the year.
From the point he took over, Beth led the Lady Marshals to a 17-3 record, and the 1st Region championship. The Lady Marshals were waiting to take the court for their first round game in the Sweet 16 when the tournament was suspended and ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beth starred in both basketball and soccer at Marshall County in the late 80’s.He is the son of legendary coach Howard Beth, Kentucky’s all-time winningest girls high school basketball coach and winner of two state championships with the Lady Marshals in 1982 and 1984.
