
With the possible start of the fall sports season just a few weeks away, Union County High School has announced the hiring of a pair of fall sport coaches. The positions announced were girls’ golf and girls’ soccer.
For the Bravette soccer team, Melissa Oxford has been tabbed to take over the program. Oxford, who attended Union County High School, takes over for Alicia Elliot. The Bravettes finished the 2019 season with a record of 4-11, losing to Webster County in the 6th District tournament.
Union County also announced the hiring of Debbie Sprague to be the girls golf coach at the school. Sprague takes over the golf program just ahead of the scheduled start of the 2020 season, which comes up late next week.
