Caldwell County Youth Inc. held a special ceremony prior to the baseball and softball games on Friday at the Ratliff Park Complex in Princeton.
The family of Riley Flood was invited to throw out the first pitch and was recognized in a pregame ceremony involving four 8U baseball teams – the Giants, Mets, Red Sox and Yankees.
Riley, age 7, died in January. He was a member of the Red Sox team and the Caldwell Gold All-Stars. His mother, Amber Gray, was presented Riley’s No. 7 Red Sox jersey.
