Lyon County sophomore Cathryn Brown opened her 2020 golf season with a fourth-place finish Friday at the Murray High Invitational played at the Murray Country Club.
Brown shot a 7-over 80 to finish three shots off the lead.
McCracken County’s Madison Glisson, a seventh-grader playing in her first varsity match, shot a 4-over 77 to edge Murray’s Mary Browder Howell by one shot for the tourney win. St. Mary’s Ellie Roof was third, and McCracken County’s Adeline Edwards was fifth.
