The National team scored six times in the top of the ninth inning to beat the American squad 8-6 Sunday night in the Kentucky Prospects Collegiate Baseball League.
Noah Brown drove in the go-ahead run with a two-run single.
Brodie Lenon’s RBI single with two outs had tied the contest at 6-6.
Brown finished the game 2-for-4 with the two runs batted in. Jacob Pennington and Rook Ellington were each 2-for-3 and knocked in a run. Will Thompson was 2-for-3 and scored three times for the National team.
For the American side, Cameron Dean went 4-for-4 and scored a run. Parker Estes was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Brady Betts, the last of three National pitchers, picked up the win on the mound. He tossed two hitless innings while striking out three and walking none.
The Kentucky Prospects Collegiate Baseball League is scheduled to play again Monday at Brooks Stadium in Paducah.
