Nimmo & Marshals Win at Greenwood Invitational

At last season’s state golf tournament, Louisville Trinity finished second, seven shots ahead of Marshall County, who finished in 4th place. Monday, the Marshals were able to turn the tables on the Shamrocks, taking first place in the Greenwood Gator Boys Invitational, at the Bowling Green Country Club.

The Marshals finished the day with a team score of 300, six shots in front of Trinity, who carded a team 306. St. Xavier took 3rd place with a score of 310.

Individually, Jay Nimmo blistered the final four holes of the course, shooting -4 to finish his day with a six under par 66 to take medalist honors. Chase Wilson, of Franklin-Simpson, Luke Coyle, of Taylor County, and Warren Thomis, of Madison Central, finished in a three-way tie for second with rounds of 69.
