It was another top-5 finish for University Heights Academy’s Jiles Wyatt Thursday. Wyatt finished his round at Western Hills Golf Course with a 2-over par 73 to lead the Blazers at the Christian County Invitational.
Wyatt’s score was good enough to place him in a tie for 4th place, along with South Warren’s Chase Hodges. Madisonville-North Hopkins’ Jackson Hill won the event with a score of 68, his second invitational win in as many days. Hopkinsville’s James Folz finished 2nd with a 70, while Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds came in third, shooting a 72.
As a team, the Blazers finished 14th, with a team score of 388. Greenwood took 1st place with a team score of 302. Daviess County finished tied with Madisonville at 309 for 2nd, with the Panthers taking the tiebreaker over the Maroons.
