A solid team effort helped lead the Hopkinsville Tigers golf team to a top five finish at the Union County Invitational Monday. Battling sultry weather conditions, the Tigers shot a team score of 326 on the day.
The score was good enough to put Hopkinsville in 3rd place for the event. The Tigers finished ten shots behind Muhlenberg County, who won the day with a score of 316. Daviess County’s A team edged out Hopkinsville by one stroke, at 325, for 2nd place.
Individually, James Folz and Will Binkley led the way for Hopkinsville, with each carding a 79, placing them in a tie for 8th place.
