Emma Talley is tied for 48th place after one day at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open in North Berwick, Scotland.
Talley had one birdie but two bogeys on each nine in Thursday’s first round, finishing a 2-over-par 73.
Talley continues to play well from tee to green, hitting 12 of 13 fairways and 15 of 18 greens in regulation. However, she did need 35 putts over the first 18 holes.
Denmark’s Nicole Broch Larsen tops the leaderboard at the Ladies Scottish Open with a 4-under 67.
Broch Larsen has a one-stroke lead over five players
Heavy fog blanketed The Renaissance Club on Thursday morning, pushing back tee times by two hours. Play was suspended at 8:35 p.m. due to darkness, with 27 players (nine groups) yet to finish.
The Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open is the first of two consecutive events in Scotland. Next week, the Tour heads to Royal Troon for the season’s first major, the AIG Women’s Open. That event was formerly known as the Women’s British Open.
The rest of the first round and round two of the Ladies Scottish Open will be played Friday.
