Cathryn Brown got better as the day went along and finished in a sixth-place tie Saturday at the Ballard Memorial Invitational at the Ballard Country Club.
The Lyon County sophomore had a birdie on the back nine and finished with an eagle-3 on the 18th hole. She shot a 2-over 38 on the back nine and finished with a 5-over 77 to finish in a sixth-place tie.
Mary Browder Howell of Murray won the individual title with a 2-under par 70.
