Another solid day on the golf course Saturday for the Marshall County boys golf team. The Marshals made the trek up to Goshen to take part in the 57th annual Kentucky Invitational Tournament, hosted by Louisville St. Xavier, and came away with a 5th place finish in the event.
Marshall County finished their day with a team total of 302. All four qualifying rounds for the team score finished in the 70s. Taylor County took home the title with a 296. St. Xavier and Madsion Central tied for 2nd with 297. Trinity finished 4th at 298.
Jay Nimmo continued his great start to the 2020 season, finishing his round with a score of one under par 70. That score was enough to place Nimmo in a tie for 3rd place on the day. Hayes Mason, of Taylor County, won the event with a 67. Matthew Troutman, of Christian Academy of Louisville, was second with a 68. Riley Bender, of St. Xavier, tied with Nimmo at 70.
