It was a good weekend for a pair of Lyon County basketball players and the rest of their summer basketball teammates. The All Kentucky team traveled to Noblesville, Indiana and came away with the championship in the 8th Grade Boys Division 1 (14U) 2024 at the USA Youth Hoops Bucket Battle.
The team went 5-0 in the event to take the championship. Both Travis Perry and Brady Shoulders played big roles for All Kentucky in winning the title. Perry hit for 42 points in the title game, while Shoulders knocked down 13 threes over the tournament.
All Kentucky won all but one its games in the tournament by more than 20 points.
