Former Livingston Central head basketball coach Bill McNamara will join Chad Burgett’s coaching staff at Trigg County.
McNamara has been an assistant coach at Graves County for the past two years. Prior to that, McNamara was the head coach at Livingston Central, his alma mater, for four seasons. He won 45 games in his four seasons with 35 of those wins coming in his final two seasons there.
“We are excited to add Coach McNamara to our staff. Anytime you can add someone that has been successful as a head coach to your staff, you are fortunate,” Burgett said. “He will serve as assistant to the head coach, and his primary responsibility will consist of improving our offensive efficiency. His teams in the past have really valued the ball and displayed great shot selection.”
McNamara was named the 2017-18 boys’ region coach of the year. He will replace Toby Miles, who took the head coaching job at Christian County earlier this month.
