
Caldwell County sophomore Claire Knoth will play in the state All A Classic golf tournament after a runner-up showing in Saturday’s regional.
Knoth shook off a slow start and grinded out a 90 in the All A regional tourney at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
Knoth struggled in wet conditions following an early downpour and carded a 48 on the front nine. However, she came back to shoot a 6-over 42 on the back.
Rheagan Lindsey of University Heights was medalist with an 84.
Her sister, Conlee Lindsey, shot a 90, equalling the round of Knoth.
They will all go to the state All A Classic at Gibson Bay Golf Course in Richmond in three weeks.
Dawson Springs took team honors on Saturday with all four of its golfers advancing to state as well.
