The Lyon County Lady Lyons Softball Boosters have announced the date for a hauntingly good fundraiser to benefit the Lady Lyons softball program. The 6th annual Zombie Glow Run/Walk 5K is set for Friday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m., at Lee S. Jones Park.
Organizers say the mostly-paved course is lined with glow sticks and lighted arches, and they hand out glow bracelets and necklaces. Lyon County softball players dress as zombies to add atmosphere, and runners are encouraged to dress up, too.
They add that they do have social distancing measures planned for registration, and for the start and finish lines.
Those who pre-register for the event will receive a t-shirt. Registration will also begin at 6:30 p.m. the night of the event. Awards will be handed out in several different age categories.
