Saturday was a mental roller coaster for Conlee Lindsey. Like the other players in her group, the UHA eighth-grader had to endure heavy rain on the front nine of the All-A Classic Region Golf Tournament. She also lost a big lead for a qualifying spot for the state All-A Classic on the back nine. However, she dug deep and made par on the final hole to forge a tie with Caldwell County’s Claire Knoth for second place.
Both golfers will advance to the state tournament next month in Richmond.
