
Hopkinsville beat Trigg County by two strokes Monday in a quad match at their home, the Hopkinsville Country Club.
Trigg County got their revenge Tuesday with a two-shot win of their own at Boots Randolph Golf Course.
Hunter Reynolds shot a 1-over 37 to claim medalist honors and was one of two Wildcats to shoot in the 30s. Ty Butts added a 39. Haydon Reynolds shot a 42, and Greyson Grissom and Trey Carr both shot a 44.
James Folz, who was the medalist Monday, finished two shots behind Reynolds in second place with a 39. Evan Pyle added a 40, and Will Binkley chipped in with a 41. Calvin Demps shot a 44, with Andrew Riggs and Joey Falco both shooting a 45.
Trigg’s total of 162 was two shots better than Hopkinsville’s 164.
Trigg’s ‘B’ team was led by Ivey Redd, who shot a 41. Dallas Ahart shot a 42, and Stephen Audas shot a 43.
The match was the first played at the state park course since a $130,000 project was completed that replaced the old bentgrass greens with Tifeagle Bermudagrass.
